Do I need all this computer power?

Ten years ago, when computers were becoming a common house-hold name,
people did not know which brand or type of computer when they were
purchasing them. You had to rely on marketing adds that were sent to
you in mailers that came in your mail everyday. an Or the articles that
were in the known magazines and newspaper.
It wasn\'t because the information on the internet was not accurate or confusing, but it was because people had to rely on hard information through mailers or vendors to purchase a computer before they could get on the internet to read about what they should and should not buy to help them in their adventures
on the Internet. Most of the time people
would buy a high end system to just read email and surf the internet.
Why? Because they were told that is what they needed. Marketing at its finest. Today, people have been through two, three and maybe even four computers and understand what they want and what they want it to do for them.
My curiosity is how we will look at this in 10 years? Oh, that is right, Most people will just need a connection to the internet and a monitor. We are heading into cloud computing or what ever the new name will be. All of our applications will be on the internet. Can you hardly wait to see this?
